She's here!!!!

Calla Christina-Patricia Thompson arrived at 8:08 a.m. on January 4th, 2008 weighing 6 lbs. 8 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. My c-section went well and even though I experienced some things that I didn't with Trent, my recovery seems to be going well also. She is absolutely perfect and eats like a champ and is starting to sleep longer between feedings so we're all finally getting some sleep around here. I can't believe I'm the parent of two children and I think it's going to take me some time to fully adjust to having a two year old and a newborn and myself to get ready to go somewhere. But we will do it eventually and things will get better!

38 Weeks

Here is a pic of my 38 week belly. The last belly shot I'll take before lil' miss Calla makes her appearance tomorow. I don't look or feel as big as I did with Trent but I'm still uncomfortable most of the time.

Last prenatal checkup before Baby Calla arrives

So my last prenatal checkup was this afternoon before Friday's c-section. Everything seemed to be fine today, my blood pressure was even pretty good too! I can't believe that in less than two days I will be holding my baby girl in my arms. It is so surreal to me that I will soon be the mother of two. I never in my life imagined it but it is here so I'm sure I will adjust soon enough. I just hope that Trent does too, he seems very interested in the baby right now but I'm not sure he understands that on Friday the baby comes out of Mommy's tummy and is a real person that is going to live in our house.

New Year, New Blog

Happy New Year 2008!!! So with a new year and a new baby on the way I've decided to move my blog to make it easier to upload photos and videos of our new family of 4 to be able to share them with all of you. So we're anxiously awaiting the birth of our new daughter on Friday and for me it can't come quick enough. We've gotten all the things ready for her arrival and are just waiting to see how Trent will take it. And Brian and I can't wait to meet our little girl!
