Bath Time

This was Calla's first bath in the sink without the baby tub. She's doing so great at sitting up that we thought we'd try it and boy did she just love it. I'm patting myself on the back for getting the extra deep sink when we were purchasing one during our kitchen remodel last year. I can't believe she's 6 months old already! At her 6 month check up last week she got 2 shots and an oral vaccine, weighed 18 pounds 2 ounces, was 26 inches long and her head circumference was 16 3/4 inches. Much different baby than Trent! I can't believe how different they are but yet so alike. Some of the looks she gives me are pure Trent! Oh, how I love this girl!

Summer Fun

Trent and Aunt Juju playing in the pool in the backyard. He loves the pool as long as he doesn't have to sit down!
Trent playing "baseball" at Daddy's church league softball game. He just loves to go and wishes he was old enough to actually play. Only 14 more years kiddo and you can play with Daddy in the league!

Calla enjoying Trent's swing in the backyard. She wasn't too sure about it at first and doesn't like to get pushed too much but likes sitting in it and watching her crazy brother prance about the backyard!

Trent's Nose

On July 3rd a little girl at daycare broke Trent's nose by punching him with the heel of her hand right at the bridge of his nose. This is what it looked like that night. Obviously he didn't seem to feel it at that point.
This is what Trent's nose looked like the next day on July 4th, much more swollen and his eyes were starting to turn black and blue
On Saturday July 5th, he wouldn't let me touch it or anything and although the swelling seems to have gone down that day he wouldn't let me take a picture either so I had to do it while he was sleeping!
On Sunday July 6th, it was feeling much better and he could actually smile when I took his picture.

And then on Monday July 7th Trent fell off the couch into the window sill and split his eye open. I didn't really get pics of that but it looked pretty bad for about a week.

He's a comedian!!!

Trent sure knows how to make people laugh, but isn't that just like a two year old? one minute your laughing your head off at him and the next he's falling over in an all out temper tantrum because his sister touched his "night night" with her pinky toe. Here he is with my cousin Mackenzie's sunglasses on during our river cruise.

And here he is showing his belly button to the fish, right before he puked all over everyone because he smelled the bird poop on the rookery in the middle of the river.

Trent is doing amazing with his ear tubes by the way, they have made such a difference. I'll spare you all the juicy details from his surgery but he definitely needed the surgery and now he's hearing better than ever and talking more too. Next step is potty training... Lord help us!

My sweet pretty girl

These are just some pictures of Calla that my amazing photographer for a cousin, Wright, took of her on our recent river cruise aboard the twilight with my grandparents. Of course I think she's a beautiful model but as you can see she simply is gorgeous in these photos. She will be 6 months old tomorrow and I can't believe where the time has gone. These last 6 months have gone by so fast that I'm scared for the rest of the year, before I know it my sweet baby will be a toddler and I'll have two running around my feet like crazy people!

This is Calla and Daddy just watching the water go by.... such a sweet moment together
